Description
This composition depicts the Gestalt principle of closure. The mind's eye sees the cone shapes laying on a sphere, even if the outline for the sphere is not complete. To add interest to the composition, the shapes are made to appear three dimensional by curving the edges of the cone to trick the eye. The thing that is lacking is the empty space left in the background, which takes away interest.
